235 tires on lowered W208?

I'm ordering my new tires today (Goodyear Eagle F1), and I will get the car lowered in a week or so. Can we fit 235 wide tires on the front of our cars IF it's lowered?

I have 235 in front also, but am rubbing because of negative camber
what is the exact size you are running? how large are the sidewalls usually?

Currently I'm Nitto NT 555s (225). My fenders are rolled too, but I don't think that even matters. As far as the side walls, the Nittos have next to none. They're so "round" where the sidewall meets the tread that I believe if you were to actually measure it, it would probably be 2.5-3". Literally.

It all depends on the rim width and offset as well as the drop.

If your car is a conservative dropped car you'll be fine but if you have a high offset like 40et then you will rub on the inside when you turn.

If you car is slammed and you have a high offset you will rub on the outer wheel arch.

And what will really make it rub is if you have a tire that runs wide like BFgoorich Gforce you will rub all day long if you're slammed.

But if your car is not slammed you'll be fine.

I run 225's because my car is slammed and I have spacers to kick out the front wheels for that flush aggressive look.

I had 235 with rolled fenders, but I managed to bend my fenders because the car was slammed. As long as you don't slam your car, 235 shouldn't rub at all.

clk430 cab advan
hi guys,

i'm deciding on 2 choice of size for the front. presently i'v got on 225/40/18. (25.1 inch diameter and 11.7 cross width). car has a conservative 1.25 inch drop (1/2 - 5/8 inch gap from rub to fender).
will be going wth 275 in the back, no worries about rubbing.

specs are from the Toyo proxes T1R
235/40/18 are 25.3 dia. and 11.9 width and it's reinforced

245/35/18 are 24.8 dia and 11.8 width but not reinforced

the 245's dia. will guarantee not to rub, but the 235's has a chance of rubbing if driving over bumps.

also why is one tire reinforced and the other not??

anyone tried the 245??

I've had 235-40-18 Toyo T1Rs up front (my previous set of street tires). 245s might be a squeeze without modification.

I was using 235/35 19" in front and 275/30 19" in rear, but I was using O.E.M springs without problem, runs perfect. Now, I'm using 225/35 20" in front and 245/30 20" in rear with Eibach springs. At moment, only one side is rubbing, but I will change the fronts pads. Let's see if will stop rubbing..!!

235 35 19's are typically good. BFG G-Force tires run big tho and will rub. Great tires, but they rub some b/c they're larger than other 235 35 19s...

had 235/40/18 falken 615s in front that rubbed in tight 30+mph turns. now, haven't rubbed 225/40/18 hankook rs2s.

car is sitting on #1 pads and eibach springs/bilstein sports and the front fenders have been rolled flat. wheel specs are in sig.
