How Do I Remove The Trunk Star?

Hey Guys,

How do you take the trunk star off of a 2000 CLK430 cabriolet??? I have a Brabus Badge I need to install. I took off the cover in the trunk, and do not see the screw. Can you help? Thanks. I just changed grills, added hood badge and will post photos upon completion. Thanks.

There is no screw for it. It's adhesive.

just use your finger nails slowly and play with it. on my car the glue was so old that it came off with out even braking. if that does not work use a fishing line. you will need to get new plugs that go into the trunk hole.

yeah that would work better most likely than the fishing line.

Trunk Badge

Near the center of the star on each arm of the star there is a clip that just pushes into the trunk lid. Just be easy with a plastic putty knife and work it out from the centers.
