Dashboard wood trim Question

Hi there

Dose anyone know how to remove the long wood trim on the dashboard without having to remove the complete dashboard? Has anyone removed it before? Can it be "uncliped" in any way ?

grab a flat head screw drive or a clip puller, then softly insert it behinde the edge of the wood trim piece on the far right side edge(US passenger side). slowly pull on it and that side will come out, once out pull the wood piece from left to right against the dash and it will come right out and do the reverse for install.

Actually you would use the “search this forum" function as search this thread only searches the thread you are in. In this case he would have found his own question and nothing else, or you could provide the information like Vipclk320 did

99CLK320,
When you click on the down arrow next to the Search function you will see Advanced Search. Clicking on that will allow you to search evey forum on the MBworld website.

Thanks VIPCLK320 for the instructions.
I will try this method tonight, I guess it wont make any diference if my Merc is right hand drive.

If I understand corectly after puling the right side edge away from the dashboard, it will "unclip" then I will be able to "Slide" from left to right the long piece of wood trim. It sounds like "slide in clip in system"

Thanks I hope I dont mess this up....

Thanks for the update montanelas. Just 1 final clarificatory q: reading vipclk320s instructions and your pix, I assume that it does not matter whether its a right or left hand drive merc - the wood trim slides out from let to right, Correct?
