P0170 and P173 - blinking fuel warning light?

Last week had a rear main seal replaced under an extended warranty at a Mb dealer. Had a slight irregular idle but forgot to mention it. No check engine light - but the dealer (tech) said it might need a tune up - car has only 67K and its a 2000 CLK430. Only drove the car maybe 50 miles since and today the CEL lit up and stayed lit. Took to it Autozone and they scanned it - pulled a P0170 and P0173 which I understand is a MAF. An hour later the fuel gauge warning light (not the small dot) started flashing and after a restart stopped. Bought a can of the MAF cleaner at Autozone and cleaned it but the car still shows the CEL and the rough (I mean slight) idle is still there. Would those codes indicate something other than the MAF?

If the MAF was in fact dirty will the code eventually clear on its own or should it be cleared - can they do it at Autozone? Or is a dealer visit necessary as the rough idle is still there.

The blinking fuel light is an indicator that the gas cap may not be tight or a slight leak in the purge system.

I checked the cap again and it seems tight - I did fuel up this morning - so maybe - but the two codes still did show on the OBDII reader unless it was a false reading but I still have the irregular idle. Can see if they can clear them at Autozone and see if it holds up.

Drives: 99CLK320,
I tried MAF cleaner but it did not help. Autohausaz has the MAF replacement element. I couldn't find it on the website but if you call they have it. You need a small(#?)saftey torqx drive, the one with the hole in the center, to replace it. Don't need to buy the entire unit.
