I didn't know they don't supply the longer screws for the spacers!
I think you'll have to go to an auto spares shop and get the longer ones.
Ash if you haven't got the spacers yet, ask if we can double up for a discount!

To Paul:
Bobby & Paul:
My concern about the spacers are that te injectors will be lifted 1/4" and will be shooting the gas further by tht 1/4", I don't know if that woul effect anything or not buy also another problem is that they don't supply the longer screws for the intake manifold to be installed to the block and I don't know if it's safe to use the same screws since it will be lifted 1/4".

i would love a crank pulley but i just dont trust any of the ones that are out there and evo sport doesnt make one for my motor as far as i know. Thats one pulley that requres a very high quality dampening or it will get the wobbles and will damage many parts and to be honest with you the only one that i have heard of is the company i think called AMS or something and i just dont trust their quality because i'm sure the R&D that they put in their stuff is no where near a reputable engineering company such as evo sport. and what i like about evo sport is that they have tested all their parts on their own race cars for long period of time before selling them. while i was there a few weeks ago they gave me a tour of the shop and their race cars and i can say i really trust their products. whos pulley are you running? see you in two weeks.
P.S. i'm working on a possible light weight flex plate.<--(thanks Bobby)

sorry for being MIA, i just thought i post some progress. the car was dropped off at the shop today and the 320 motor had its last action today. everything should be cooled of by tomorrow afternoon when i get there and start the trasplant. tomorrow will be mainly taking everything out and cleaning under the car and dgreasing and then installing the diff, axels, drive shaft, fuel pump and filter and taking the motor and trans out. on saturday i will be installing the 55 motor and the new radiator and hooking up all the hoses and fuel lines etc. next post will probably be on saturday night which is when i will officially change call sign from 320 to 55! hahaha

There was a lot of progress today. The 320 diff, axels, flex disc, drive shaft, fuel pump, filter and bushings came out and the area under the diff was cleaned of all the grease and gunk and looks brand new and cleaned all the heat shield and removed the exhaust. All 55 Parts went in and it looks good so far. All parts including Axels are brand new so Turing back together was nice and easy. Tomorrow the engine will be coming out and the engine bay will be pressure washed and degreased and all lines and hoses will e installed along with te engine. I have taken a few pics but I will post everything all at once on Sunday. Stay tuned.

some pictures of all the work that got done over the weekend.I spend a lot of time cleaning the diff and axel area and the engine bay so it is taking a bit longer because i'm cleaning spotless as i'm moving along. The diff and axels etc are all in so rear end is done and the 320 engine is out and the engine bay has been cleaned and refreshed. 55 motor will be going in tomorrow afternoon and then off to my friends tunning shop for trans install and the ECU, TCU and wiring swap while i'm on vacation.

I plan to do the same when I get done with my law school ventures in a couple years (maybe sooner if I can keep living cheap). However, I am not at all mechanically inclined so I'd definitely be looking for a shop to do it.
If you don't mind PMing me what your estimated costs are, I would greatly appreciate it!
Perhaps I will do this in a step by step basis instead of save, wait 3 years and do it all at once. My car is a 430 though so if I read correctly it might be easier to swap?
As of now I my dream is getting it on par with this
Would a 430 transmission with 158k miles on it handle the power/tq of a supercharged 55 motor? My instincts say no
I love what you're doing with yours. I've had my car 6 years now and could never bring myself to sell it.

being that you have a 430 your conversion is far easier than mine. ive had to basically replace every part on the car. you can use the 430 trans, diff, axels and drive shaft but i just decided to go all 55 for longevity because they are stronger parts. but 430 parts would work fine.
