Key fob is not working or starting car
Battery died last night, lights left on. Had to jump start but did not start immediately because the key was not turning. Got it started drove for a while but when I took the key out it wouldn't start again, but lights turn on, just the key won't turn at all, even to position number 2. Took battery out to charge thinking it might be low, but still the same problem. Battery tests at 13.08 volts and lights turn on. The key fob will not lock/unlock doors nor turn in the ignition, if door is open is prompts on cluster remove key and I even changed out the batteries in the key fob. Any suggestions.

The low voltage condition might have smoked the FOB transmitter, I suppose many of us have never seen this condition and you cant answer this one with a magic wand so to speak.
Might have to bow down and seek help from the dealer for a new FOB (key/mote).
Double check the batteries in it first and see if the remote starts to work again.

Always helps to check all fuses, There are 4 fuse boxes. Sams built into front drivers and trunk boxes. Checking power to the door control modules might be a good start. All ECM fuses are on the pass side box.

I only found 3 fuse boxes, under the hood drivers side back near fire wall, 2nd was in trunk near battery and 3rd was on drivers side on side of dashboard. Where is the 4th. You also mentioned a fuse box with all ECM, where is that?
Thanks Gator.

A tow to the dealer might be evident
The ECM fuse box is in the black box compartment by the passenger side hood hinge.
takes a #1 Philips to open I believe, only accessed once.

you could try this: aim your key at the reciever on your doorhandle, have the key within an inch from it, press unlock, then put it in the ignition. worked for my second key, it didn't work before I did this. Must add to that that the second key has not been used in ages causing the car to "forget" it. Though this is in europe, I don't know if they're different in US

Thanks to all who have replied and your recommendations, hours of sweating, searching posts and trouble shooting every piece of wiring, A NEW KEY FOB has fixed all my problems. Every post I read said key fob, I saved at minimal 3 hours of labor, know more about the car, changed out brake switch and have money to spare. Thanks Team 208.
