How do I replace the small headlight bulb (02 CLK 430)

So it turns out, one of my lights are defected and its the small driver side headlight bulb. I was wondering how much do those go for and do they sell those anywhere like O'Reilly's? Also, how do I go about replacing it? is it the same as replacing a normal lamp or something..?

Are you talking about the city light (smaller inner light that comes on with head lights) or your low beam? There are DIY's online and even youtube videos on how to change your low beam.

Amazon had great deals on OEM D2R blubs if you need low beams. www.autohausaz.com or www.rockauto.com has reasonably priced parts for your car.

Yeah, I'm talking about the city lights. What size are they? and is it the same as replacing a bulb on a headlight? just pop the trunk and unscrew the cap off?

Here, these are the lights im talking about, except in person the driver side one looks like its burnt out or close to it. I need to know what size are they, are they available anywhere? And if its an easy fix?

the bulbs are very cheap about $1 for pair. to replace you just twist and pull the bulbs is on the black plastic holder takes seconds. PS I changed out my normal filament bulbs with multi ultra bright white LED bulbs. YOu need a resistor to stop the dash fault though.

Here's a link: http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...&gid=3555@Bulb

Buy it here. SERIOUSLY. It's exactly what you need and its $3.24. The bulb you need is the fourth one down from the top. It is an H6W bulb. The part # is 000000-000172 if the link doesnt work or if you simply can't find it. Good luck with your lights

Also, replacement is simple and I believe it's the same as a normal lamp. Open your hood and feel around the back of the light inside the hood and twist off the plastic cap. Be careful not to drop the cap in the engine bay. Now you have opened the back of the city light housing. This is where the bulb it located. The bulb is connected to a longer wire that will come out of the housing. I believe you twist the wires/metal/bulb 90% then gently pull and it should come completely out. Exchange the bulbs then put everything back together.

It's very simple and should only take around a minute or two really even if you're working carefully.

Again, good luck. Let me know if there are any issues.

O'reilly's can get the h6w bulbs, my local store doesn't stock them, but can get them in 24 hours. I think a 2-pack was $16. Not the cheapest way for sure. I'm thinking about trying the can bus compliant LED bulbs on ebay

I have the LED city lights on my car. I like the look of them. If my car wasn't filthy I'd snap a pic for reference.
