03 CLK430 Cabriolet window sealing frame installation?
I bought a new window sealing frame for my 03 CLK430 Cabriolet and wanted to see if anyone had any experience installing one of these before I screw it up.
The part # is 208 670 01 39 and it attaches to the rear side window in between the rear window and the front door window (as seen in this illustration -> part #2: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-2086700139-GENUINE-OEM-FACTORY-ORIGINAL-SEALING-STRIP-/151140276071?nma=true&si=5X5F2K3ay0tq5ApaaAluoBX%252BTyc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557).
The part did not come with any kind of clips or adhesive, so not sure what I should use.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thx,
Tony

Tony, did you ever figure out how to get this done? I've got to do the drivers side too and same as you don't want to make things worse.....Did you notice the right side seal costs more than twice as much, wonder why?

Hi ML Dude,
I have not done anything about this yet since I was driving the cab around with the top down all summer long. Now that it is getting colder again, I've got it back in the garage waiting for warmer weather. I was thinking that I will get the car serviced by a local MB specialist in early spring and then ask about the installation of this sealing frame. I only drive about 2,500 miles a year in this car so I don't service it very often. Once I do, I will post an update here. If you figure the installation out, please share it here!
Thx,
Tony

Peplacing upright window seal, rear window 2003 clk
Hi, I need to replace this rubber seal also. Mine somehow got caught while rolling up the front window and was torn. Did you ever find any information on how to remove the old seal and replace it? I purchased one thru a local body shop new for 85 dollars and I don't want to mess it up or my car.
Thanks Jack
Thanks Jack

Hi gentlemen,
the rubber seal itself seemed to just slide in its place but once I did that and pulled the window down, similar seal in the bottom of rear window got misaligned and just basically messed up both seals. So, when I took the car to get serviced at a local shop here in Fort Worth, they said they would do the installation for me for no charge......so got lucky with that one. It is done now.
