The grand idea seems to be good fitment around headlights thus using top part of 208 and sleek look of lower half of 209 bumper. I don't have any hands on with dimensionally sizing the two up but it may be in the works for me soon.
That's exactly my plan. I ordered a w209 AMG bumper and will try and cut under the impact strips. When it gets here I'll let you know by looking at it if I think it's a good place to cut.

Glad to hear youre interested!

That looks pretty good man! And I admire the work you've put into it already. Nice to hear that it fits well. However, it still looks very aftermarket and extremely fragile to me

VIS Bumper

There is nothing like VIP'S bumpers.

Closest thing was that VIS bumper but yes Fragile and Fitment is...EHH (But damn did it look better then the stock bumper)

Here's some pics of mine installed when I had a 208. Used OEM w204 fog grills and fog lights. It was by no means plug and play.

Your old w208 is so beautiful; easily one of the cleanest and most tasteful CLK's ive ever seen.

On the other hand i still havent gotten around to making this bumper yet. Been too busy with work, school, insurance companies, and trying to get my hands on a c63
