Bose or not?
How can I tell if my 2003 CLK320 Cab has the Bose system or not? I do know it has a Becker 6003 radio, which I am looking to replace. According to Crutchfield, they have everything I need to install an aftermarket radio if it uses the Bose system, but I am out of luck if it doesn"t.

Centre of the rear seats should reveal BOSE on the speaker cover.

Sounds like you don't have Bose. That said, I used Crutchfield when I upgraded, and Bose was the tough one at the time. It took an extra $14 to convert the signal so the Bose amp could process it properly.
You have a 2003, is it a W208, or a W209? If you're not sure, 2003 Cabs were all W208s, while 2003 hardtops are W209s.

It is Bose!
Thanks triplefiresoul! I didn't spot the Bose logo there at first as it is a bit faded, but under better light, there it was.
But, this leads to another question: the stock radio is a single DIN, but right underneath it is a storage compartment which pulls out revealing what looks like another single DIN opening. Could a double DIN radio possibly be installed? This would open a lot of new possibilities.
