Need electrical help

Does anyone know of a 12V wire that i can use under the hood of my clk430. I'm looking for a wire that gets power when the car starts and will be able to reliably power a 12v pump. thanks

There is the 12v jump point on the right top of the engine under a plastic cover, however this is a constant live and I beleive you need a power scource that is only live with the key?

Therefore go to your fuse box theres loads of wires in there that will only be live with the key, such as the wipers which you can tap into. Just connect the negative to any part of the body work you can find a convenient nut.

you might want to add a relay and only use that wire to trigger it vs. powering it.
