Opinions please,,,,,, im currently running 225/35/19 on my clk32. They seemed alittle small and stretched out...They r wore on the inside bad so i need new tires. I just had alignment done.....I know i can go to 235/35 wth no rubbing. The question i have is can i go to 245/35,,,,, thanks

I have 235/35/19 and I had to swap to some thicker spring pads and pull the fenders a bit to keep from rubbing. 245 wouldn't fit without some serious rubbing. It would probably be more than rubbing. It would probably be more like the fender sinking into the side of the tire like a dull knife.

I have 245/35/19 with very square sidewall up front, aftmkt suspension, and pinched fenders. Still never putting 245s up front ever again. The initial problem was the upper control arm bolt so I added a 7mm spacer. That pushed the tire out past the fender a tiny bit thus causing rubbing if there were a serious bump in the road I wasnt aware of. I had to pinch the fenders to make more room even though they come somewhat rolled from the factory. That still wasnt enough so I finally had the fenders pulled slightly. It rarely rubs now. But still, I would never put a 245 up front before.

The only reason I ordered 245 front tires for my car is because the tires that came with the wheels were 245 and fit. They however had a rounded sidewall and unfortunately I couldnt tell what the sidewall was like on the new tires I purchased through the tirerack.
