Hi guys, I drive a 2001 clk 320 convertible.

I have searched online for 5 hours on Sunday and then I came here and yet no answers.. Would anyone please direct me into the the right direction?
My last resort is to buy an aftermarket rear view mirror..

So my rear view mirror MOUNTING BRACKET BROKE and I called the dealer and gave him the part number and goes its not a benz part number, I said yes it is and it has the benz sign too... Anyhow he could not help me and said i would need to buy the entire assembly for 1200 and def im not doing that.

I just looked at the MB 208 parts list and the blowup only shows the entire mirror assembly... no breakup of the bracket.
The number that you show might be a manufacturer number..
assembly is 20881006177D43
I would search for a wreck.
All kinds of CLK rear views on ebay...here are a few

I already looked at em but they wont fit since my car is convertible !
Im gonna have to glue it or fabric something to hold it still...

I dont get why you just dont buy one off ebay ??

I did a search and theres dozens of complete rear view mirrors for as little as $10?

It wont fit my car... Mine is convertible and its diff..
My hook that hold the actual mirror is diff .

It's hard to tell which part is broken from your pics. It looks like just the plastic trim. I think your best bet is to call some junk yards, like LKQ, and they will locate one for you. There are usually people on Ebay listing some parts for the car, but have many more. Look for someone parting out a vert.

Have you tried Potomac German Mike? You'll probably have to call them because their website doesn't seem to differentiate between convertible rear view and hardtop. 1-888-873-3236

I actually fixed it Lowphat... My mirror was loose, so I folded a piece of paper and Jammed it between the glass and the hook and Mirror became solid..
As far as the trim, i glued it and let it sit.. better than spending 1200 from stealership.
