2000 mercedes clk430 hestitation and slow pedal response.

ok, i got the new maf for $40 off ebay and it made the car run worse than the original Bosch MAF. so, i bought another one from carparts.com and it worked great. i dont think that was my issue though, bc i cleaned the old one with some MAF cleaner and cleaned the throttle body and it runs the same with the new MAF as it does with the original Bosch MAF. it does run a little better after cleaning the throttle body but i think my issue is the throttle response bc sometimes i can press the pedal at just the right time and it will throw you back in your seat immediately and other times i can press the pedal and it will take a second to respond and then when it does, it doesnt down shift like it should. i am getting a sprint booster to see if that solves my problem. i will keep you informed to let yall know what solves my issue with my clk430.

Yeah, I still don't think you have a "problem" but that you are experiencing the way the car normally reacts and "learns" to shift. I would bet that you come from a long history of manual shift cars, and you're just not happy with the reactions of the auto slush box. Hopefully the Sprintbooster improves that for you.

Another thought, maybe if the trans is shifting slow, then a good flush and fill with the proper spec fluid would help a little. Just wondering if this has been done lately? It's not a simple process on this car, so I would recommend that the dealer or a good experienced mechanic do it for you.
