Bosch Battery date code
I have a Bosch battery (on my other car) with the code G4C5180330549 embossed on the top. I am trying to figure out how old the battery is. Another thread somewhere gave a method of reading this but I can't tell if the 5 1 8 means 8th January 1995, 2005 or 2015 as they claim it's a single number (5 in this case) for the year of manufacture.
I have emailed Bosch but they haven't even replied.
Does anyone on this forum have any info please?

In case anyone else has this problem I'd just like to report that I've (finally) had a reply from Bosch regarding the battery age.
It seems that the code G4C5180330549 indicates that the battery was manufactured in July 2013!
I can see no correlation between the date and the code - but that's what they say.
