CLK430 hesitation during rollng start

I am having a strange hesitation issue and hoping someone can help.

If I am stopping for a red light, coasting to the light, car around 10mph or so light turns green. I ease on the gas to pick up speed, and there is 0 throttle response for about a second. Then it takes off.

I have no hesitation issues from a stop, or from speeds above 10mph, WOT is no problem.

Computer has no codes.

Thoughts?

Could be pedal position sensor or sprint booster going bad if you have one installed here is a thread from benzworld

FWIW....while I was covered by the 5 year/50,000 mile MB warranty and scheduled services, I occasionally had the 1 second 0 throttle response when starting after a stop. Dealer asked if I ever braked with my left foot, which I occasionally did, would momentarily confuse the ECU. Nothing done.

Right after the 5 year term expired, with less than 50,000 miles, got a CEL which was due to a MAF fault code. Replaced the MAF, which is an extremely easy DIY and the issue went away.

This scenario might just be normal reaction time for the trans to kick-down properly. It can be pretty sluggish. This is why I always wanted to try the Sprintbooster.

I thought I posted the fix, but I must have forgotten. I bought a new MAF and installed it. Hesitation completely gone and the car is much less sluggish in general. I didn't even realize it was sluggish until I replaced the MAF. It's like a different car.

Pedal position sensor is usually the problem....MAF issues are quite common but usually there is hesitation and poor performance across the range.
