Conductor plate ?

I notice the ones on ebay are made in china. So do they work or is it a waste of money? And what does a dealer one go for?

This has been discussed many times and a search will net you the answer you are looking for.

My theory are buying parts for the MB goes as follows.
Q: Is the part easy to change and do you want to do it again soon.
A: If yes buy anything you want. If no buy OE or OEM

I know from posting on many sites, that "SEARCH" is a huge joke, its like going to a book store and trying to find the book your looking for that no one ever has. Search is a total waste of time. I am constantly searching. If I know the answer I most always help someone.

Conductor plate is one of the most sensitive Elec. gearbox part,

if you don't want to get it from dealer, you can get it from anywhere else,,

just be sure it's boxed with MB part # stamped in it, and seller warranty..!!

I had that done by my local dealer back in '08. Back then, the plate was $223. It's $180 today if ordered from a MB dealer via the web. However, that's "my" plate. I have no idea what year car you have, if it's a six, an eight, or a big eight, if it's the same part no matter what, different depending on who knows what, or any of that other stuff that goes into determining whether it's the same part.

Nothing against the Chinese, but me personally, I wouldn't install a Chinese made ebay knockoff if they gave it to me for free. YMMV

I concur with Marcus, a valid MB part is the way to go and I would avoid any parts from China. Sometimes the lowest price can't be the only factor

2 things, first I am the search king, I am in a constant search mode. And I have also got some nasty computer bugs from it, bugs that my virus software evidently didn't know about so they must have been new.
Next like I said if I'm on a forum and can help I most always do.

"want every thing handed to them" with that kind of attitude why bother ever participating on sites like this? And why even answer a post with a question. Maybe stick to the posts about how long my skid mark is or something like that.
Just make sure you don't give anyone any sort of help. Sorry I'm a bit PO'ed about what you said. Its a CLK430 2002...........

Just bought a conductor plate for my 2001 CLK55 on Friday. Mercedes B. dealer retail is $402.75 Now I am fortunate enough to have a good friend in the parts dept who gets me a little discount from that price.
But they can be found on Mercedes dealer On line sights for much less, + shipping and a little time.

$222.41 from here: https://mercedespartscenter.com/part...&siteid=215720

What funniness. How many hours of reading would I have to do on dead end forums to find that sort of information? I've searched many a dead end post for a resolution on a problem or how to and end up wasting many hours, and yeah computer problems with it.

Lets be honest, the cars in this section are 20 years old. Probably every question can be answered by searching. If everyone searched the forums would die.

Well I just used the search function above on a post I just did, and used the key words.
It never came up and there were lots of unrelated posts that did. Come on people..
