Speakers in the door
I'm replacing my head until this weekend with a Pioneer DEH-X6800BS. While I'm doing that, I'm wondering about the gain made by changing out the door speakers. I have Bose, and don't think I want to go to the expense and effort of changing the sub and amp.
Crutchfield says they don't have speakers that fit the rear part of the door?? Aren't they just 4"?
Thanks!

If the speakers are in good condition, you may want to pick up a PAC OEM2. There's a new one on eBay for $10. A used one on eBay has a starting price of $2. I bought mine for $14 way back when they were still in production. This webpage will explain why the converter is a good idea - www.fitzhughmedia.com/MBF/headunit.html, but in a nutshell, you may have a very hard time finding replacement speakers with the same ohm rating.

I guess the Scoshe does. I've never used one, but if the principal is the same, it should. I get almost all my stuff from Crutchfield. Naturally, I think they're a good supplier.
