Telescopic Steering does not work

I believe this is manual (not motorized) but mine does not work. Stuck in one position and does not respond when I pull the tab lever. Anybody have the fix?

You have to pull out the locking lever, than pull out or push in the steering wheel itself. When you're done adjusting, push the locking lever back in.

Yes, I am following correct procedure but it does not move. I figure if it is released by a cable (or something like that), it has broken. Has anyone else had to fix this?

I'll be removing some covers around the steering wheel soon to inspect the coupling and I'll have a look :-)

Hey mate. I removed the bottom cover, but couldn't see anything that moves when I lock/Unlock the steering wheel. I guess the whole mechanism is around the lever.

Edit: here's a picture of the steering shaft. Looks like you're looking for item 71, part # 1704600146

No, LHD, but I would guess that this particular part is the same. The bottom cover is easy to remove, I have no idea about the one around the steering wheel/key.

OK thanks. Sidetracked trying to get the power move. I Robbed a bunch of motors and seat control modules from a wreck. Will plug stuff in and see if they move...
