Jaguar F Type
208 or 209

Posted this in the 209 forum; thought I'd get some balanced opinion from folks here:

I'm a former MB owner (about 3 SLK's) then I went to Porsche, and now looking to get back into a CLK. It will be a daily driver for me, looking for more of a cruiser after 9 years of Porsche ownership.

The biggest priority for me is to get something that doesn't require a lot of maintenance (outside regular upkeep and the normal issues that comes with a 15 year old car).

You all seem very knowledgeable so I would like some advice. A 01/02 208 or a 04/05 209?

Thanks in advance,
Ken

I'd rather take a 209 for aesthetics as the 208 looks aged. my 208 has been a good car so far, but the value has really dropped versus the mileage on the car (103k miles), so it isn't worth much.

The engine and transmission have been good and have only needed oil changes. But window regulators, dash pixels, and top hydraulics have all needed to be replaced.

Both are viable candidates, but I think others should give their input before my recommendation has any credibility.
