W208 audio system, need advice

Heeello , my friends!

So front door rear speaker, on facing the seat just died , and i get strange noises from it so. I need to decide. I just read on this forum on some thread that those speakers are pretty much useless.
*So is it worth replacing?
*Or can i somehow make their power go to door front speakers?
*What is best solution?
*What is best way to do it?

P.s. all speakers in front doors are changed to aftermarket and headunit aswell.
Thanks for any help or advice

Just went through an entire upgrade myself so things are still fresh. Audio is subjective, so disconnect or remove them and see if you're okay with the sound. If you are, then why change it.

IMO those speakers are very much all about fill and although they don't add much directly it does give you a bit more of an immersive sound. I removed the after market crap the PO had in there and went with this http://speakeraddict.com/vifa-tg9fd-...4db-75-vc.html and put a 300khz low pass filter on it.

I'm happy with the results.

Why? You can get aftermarket replacement speakers for the same price that are 10x better.

Your opinion is your opinion but 15 year old paper cones get tired, their sound will only get worse, never better. If you're replacing there's no reason to not use better quality speakers.
