V1 saves the evening...again!

I originally bought my V1 for the purchase of my '88 300TE which was located about 1,000 miles south of where I live and the required trip home.

Last night I was driving home on the Interstate and a rest stop is located between two off/on ramps just outside of town. This rest stop has automatic doors the V1 picks up every time I go past. My girlfriend lives about 25 miles west of me, so I have the perfunctory 50 mile commute. Last nights commute resulted in the usual "warning" of the auto doors at the rest stop...I get the "ahead" arrow, the number "1" in the readout, the strength signal, the whole works. But last night after getting the initial reading I got a second reading with the "2" in the readout and the "rear" arrow lit up.

Turns out it was a state trooper sitting on the on/off ramp just beyond the bridge, completely out of sight. Had this been any other radar detector, I may have just assumed it was the auto door...again!

This little gem has saved me from at least four good sized tickets/loss of lisence.

Just an FYI if anyone is considering any form of radar detection. The V1 is easily my choice!

Do you have it intergrated into your car? or is it together?

I don't condone speeding :p But, I do agree that the V1 is one nice piece of work!

I simply have it "stuck" to my windshield with the suction cups. I wanted to hard wire the unit, but am trying to sell the car, without the V1!

I'll be in the market for the CLK55 as sson as I sell this one. If I do!

Chappy, I was speaking hypothetically. I drive only the posted speed limit! lol
