Front Spoiler

I never like the front spoiler/bumper of my 2004 CLK320 Coupe. I like to replace it with the stock spoiler of the AMG or CLK500. I was told by my MB service advisor that I would have to change the side skirts as well as the rear. If not, the car would look funny because the front will be lower than the side/rear.

Is this true? What should I do?

you should NOT go AMG....

AMG is still stock IMO...you need to go with Brabus or something else. If you replaced your clk320 with the AMG kit, you might as well bought the CLK500 that already has it for the same price you're about to spend extra after you bought your 320. So..I wouldn't go that route. Brabus is in the same price range as a AMG kit, and IMO looks much better.

My question is if i only change the front, since the new one is probably lower than the side/rear, would this be visibly noticable?

i don't think so...you should be fine...

most people just change the front bumper to brabus or something....and still keep the oem side skirts and rear bumper. only thing you have to consider IMO is that the AMG fromt bumper has areodynamic molding that is suppose to match up to the side skirts and rear bumper...now since your 320 does not have it...that would be the only notable difference.

Good news. I think the front bumper of my CLK320 is a bit lame. Maybe I can find an used CLK500 front bumper.......

In my opinion, changing the front bumper will improve the look significantly. On the other hand, changing the side skirts and the rear bumper will not make a big difference visually.

I can sell you my AMG front bumper. It's Obsidian Black Metallic currently, and it has two cracks that are being fixed... it includes the foglights and the mesh, of course, but I had to take out the small chrome trim pieces for my Brabus front bumper. If your current bumper doenst have them, I'm sure the dealer can hook you up... though yours should have them. No holes drilled for front license plate.

What do you think?

My CLK320 is silver.
