C32 in a CLK320

Hey, has anybody ever tried to switch out the CLK 320's engine with the C32? i know a tranny swap might be needed too, but i was wondering if it was possible.

You're absolutly right, but theoritically it should be possible, 349 supercharged hp in a CLK, should be really nice.

It'd be much cheaper if you just got a CLK500, 550, or 55. Those things would be just as quick if not quicker than a custom CLK32 and they will be headache free (100% warrantied). If you want to supercharge your CLK320 I believe RennTech, Kleeman, and Brabus both sell kits for about $15-20k installed. Good luck, keep us updated if you do anything.

W209 CLK
If you're going to plug in an AMG engine in, why don't you plug the AMG55 engine in? For the amount of work and money spent, you may as well go with the V8. Better yet, you're better off buying the CLK55 or just buy the C32. The price difference is negligable at that point.

On the other hand I always wonder if the headers and other parts are compatible between the regular 320 V6 engine and the C32engine.

I actually thought about getting a CLK550 or 500 or even a 55, but I'd thought I start off small first, maybe next year i will upgrade, by that time I'd be 25, I guess a lil b-day gift...I guess I'm a lil power hungry, besides, i just got this car a month ago at a DAMMMMN good price.

At 15-20k's, I would just sell my car...LOL. Thats around the price that i paid for it anyway. (plus or minus a couple of thousands)

I just wanna make this clear, I don't wanna actually do an engine swap, I just wanted to know if it was possible, I have a buddy that wants to swap out his GS300 for a supra engine which made me think if it was possible to swap the C32. I love my car, for now. I would more then likely just do what u suggested and get a CLK 55.

...Trust me, you have a great car in the CLK320. You can mod it to your hearts desire. In the meantime, enjoy the ride and eventually upgrade to a
V8 CLK...I keep telling myself the same thing..LOL.

I absolutely love my car, I had the mindset that i was going to purchase a 03 C32, but this came across my lap on a metallic pewter platter, LOL.

I am glad I didn't have the opportunity to drive one or any other V8 benz, I would have had to get it. Especially reading what many of the 500, 550, and 55 owners post up about their cars.

I don't see why the swap couldn't be done

Pshek has a C 320 Coupe that he put a C32 engine in. YOu can do a search by his name. I think it did run him about $15k.

But to be honest. Comparing a AMG engine to getting a Kleeman S/C. I would go with the AMG. It is going to end up costing the same.

And mutilating some Mustangs and Camaro owners. Well, that is priceless.
