putting jack etc. back in trunk.....

dumb questions, okay, but not my fault: I bought the car pre-owned, at an auto auction, and the jack and spare go in the trunk differently than on my C-Classes.
I admit that I don't even know what this thing is:

...but where does it go? (and while we're at it, what is it?) I was able to figure out how the jack and lugwrench go in, and I plopped the lugs in with the spare fuses in a little nook (or is that a crannie?) if there was more of a "toolkit" with the car, I didn't get it (tho' the tire wedge is in there as well).

This cover to something was floating around in the trunk:

anyone know where it goes? it says "FCC ID DOZ 2225" which doesn't Google well.

look at the front bumper.. there is a cap that can be removed.. pop the cap out and u will reveal a hole to place the tow eye into!

its a tool to tow a car from the front!

hey, I'm resurrecting my own thread, cuz I can't figure out how to properly stow the jack! I wish I had taken a pick of everything stowed correctly before I took it apart. Can some one snap a pic of how the jack fits in?

The cover that you found in your trunk is not for your car!

Good new!

It is for a Remote control car remote called a Traxxas t max.

Mystery solved!

Thanks Arica! How the heck you found this old thread is another question entirely! I guess directordat was wrong, unless his car's previous owner was into toy remote trucks too! Y'know, even though nobody ever helped me with last year's question about how to stow the spare, a friend with a W209 came over and showed me his never-touched spare, so I could determine that I just needed to spin the cover a quarter turn! And my original question about the towing tie-down hook came in handy this past winter: I needed a neighbor to tow me out of my driveway not once but twice! I left the hook screwed in all winter and it's still there!
