you mean 2 cents?
thanks dynomite. i regret posting because soon after when thinking about it it made sense to me. elegance = clear and avantgarde = smoked. the parts number thread is great. do need some more part numbers though.

the seat belt piece that extends out on the drivers side was broken recently and i need to see what i'll need to get that fixed and maybe and antenna if my insurance doesnt cover it. it was recently at the shop getting some work done on a claim and when i got it back the top piece of the antenna was gone.

wow man. you are great.
its #10 and 11 i would think. the #11 part is not broken itself but its the long part connected to it which would be the motor #10 i'm guessing. i can hear it click as if the motor is working its just the piece connected to it that is broken.

Really old thread sorry, but ive been having trouble today fitting my facelift lights.
The bulb positions appear to be completely different, after doing some searches online it would appear I need:
209 820 08 77- Rear lamps - Tail lamps - Socket panel Socket panel Right 2006 - 2009
209 820 07 77- Rear lamps - Tail lamps - Socket panel Socket panel Left 2006 - 2009
But looking at your posts above, you only talk about bending some metal.
Anyone confirm that the socket panel from the later models is simple plug and play?

I have a 2004 CLK 320 Cabriolet. I wish to replace the rear lights shown on the left in BBWs photos to the style shown on the right. I understand that the metal needs bending but....
What I am unclear about is will all of the 2005 on "facelift" lights fit my car?
I understand that I require to replace the socket panel/bulb holders. Will these post 2005 bulb holders all be compatable with all post 2005 lights/lens? I asked Merc UK regards cost of bulb holder but they could not tell me as I could not give chasis no as I don't have a post 2005 car
Finally will the existing wiring and plug that connects the to new lights be compatable or will new plugs need to be rewired?
Thanks in advance.

Rud - My fish-cake aftermarket LED tails didn't come with the face-lift bulb socket board :<
If you buy from, plan on spending the extra $$ on the correct MB parts.
Not cheap... but a huge difference on the look of my rear end.

Hmm, I didn't realize that. Do those LED lights require the facelift bulb panel, or will they work with the older style panel? I looked at Fishcake's eBay listing and it's not clear.

I remember a lot of guys having to buy the face-lift panel when they switched to these!
