Okay, we're getting somewhere. Do you remember what is involved with getting the old ones off?? I see in the pic, you got your hand hooked in there behind the glass... Do they just unsnap apart? I don't want to destroy them to find out.

Can't we find a service manual for the cars...I had one for my bike and it told me how to strip the thing down to the frame.....surely a service manual for this car will tell us how to take the mirrors out.....anyone?

Prolly not a good idea to do this in cold weather for fear of breaking anything plastic, right?

Just bought a pair. Should be here in a week. I'll let you guys know how the install goes. In the meantime, any tips or procedures would be helpful.

Not sure, I do like the look of them but I'm trying to keep my cosmetic theme very OEM looking.

I don't know.... Something is just off... I think it is the squarish lines of inside edge that throws it off for me. The 209 has some of the most graceful flowing lines of any MB ever and IMO these mirrors just throw it off.
I am so damm picky when it comes to this stuff....

LED Turn Signals

The black doesn't quite match. It looks nice but to a judgmental eye you will notice that the metallic black is a little off. Still a nice addition to any W209. My next mods as far as lighting will be ordering the LED tails and the LED DRLs.

@Kevin 20 mins or less depending how good you are with cars. Also I had my friend connect the convince light to the door light since there is no prewiring for this feature in my car. (07 CLK 550)

The shipping was fast. Came in 1 day! Installed them this afternoon. The only thing I haven't done was wire the convenience light which I have yet to figure out. DysCompLexSick, maybe you can help me out with that?

I like the overall quality and looks of it. The color matches pretty well. You can't tell a difference unless you're staring at it from close. Installation takes about 1-2 hours. I can write up a little guide too if you guys want. Here are some pics.

INSTALLATION GUIDE:

GETTING THE OEM COVER OFF
To get a easier working angle, rotate the mirror forward. Next remove the glass mirror by just pulling it off their clips behind it. Allow it to hang by the 2 wires during the duration of the installation. Unscrew the one Torx-15 screw near the outside that connects to the signal light. Take off the signal light but pulling it a little forward then outward. Next, unscrew the 3 or 4 Torx-10 screws that connects the front piece to the back piece of the cover. Next is the hardest part which is removing the cover. Unlatch all clips holding the front and back together using a flat head screwdriver. There are a total of 7. 3 on top and 2 on the bottom near where the screws were which should be unlatched first. Then 1 on the hinge of the mirror and 1 on the inside of the hinge. You will understand those 2 latches by observing the new mirror cover. Undo all the latches and the cover should come off.

WIRING THE LIGHTS
If you are going to want to wire the convenience light either now or later, you will have to loosen the entire mirror from the car. Pull off the speaker on the interior by the mirror to get to the screws. Unscrew the 3 Torx-15 screws to loosen the mirror. The product provides a 6" extension that you should feed from behind the speaker to the mirror. After you do that, connect the mirror back to the car. Now connect the wire from the convenience light to that extension and connect the wire from the signal light to where the old one went. Throw your hazards on to test the signal light. If you want to test the convenience light, switch the wires and then turn on your hazards on but there's a light sensor which you will need to cover with your finger to activate it. The sensor is so it doesn't turn on during the day.

INSTALLING THE NEW COVER
This is the easy part. Put the new cover on like how you took the old one off. There are 4 new screws provided that connect the front piece to the back piece and 2 screws that fasten the whole thing to the mirror itself. Finally reattach the glass mirror and you're done! Well at least halfway done.

REPEAT ON THE OTHER SIDE
Do the same process with the other mirror. Don't worry, it takes less than half the time since you are already familiar with the steps involved.

CONVENIENCE LIGHT
Since you extended the wire of the convenience light from inside the mirror cover to the inside of the car behind the speaker, you can easily access it when wiring a power source to it in the future without needing to open up the mirror cover at all.

Hope this helps. Sorry for the lack of pictures but once you start doing it and see it in front of you, it will make more sense. Feel free to ask me any questions.
