White CLK550
Hey guys, I just recently purchased another clk550 and then just picked up a set of used rims for it. The rims I purchased are 19s and 8.5 in front and 9.5 in the back with an et45 all the way around. So my question is what spacer is it going to take to make these things fit and will I need new bolts too? From what I read im thinking ill need 15mm spacers all around to clear my front brakes and everything. Id like them to fit best as possible but I definitely don't want any rubbing! haha Thank you guys! Glad to be back!

What is the stock lug bolt size and length? I figured the spacers would be 12mm up front and 15mm on the back with et45 but now I'm trying to find out what lug bolts I'll need. I've looked and searched everywhere but can't seem to find it. I'd rather not pull the lug bolt off to check because I'm afraid I'll miss measure or some crappie haha. Can anyone please help. Thanks!

I went through hell figuring all this out for my CLK550, so I'm glad to help

Stock lug bolt is:
2.5 inches (60-62mm)
39mm (about 1.5 in.) Shank (skinny part of bolt; end of thread to bolt head)
20mm (about 3/4 in.) Thread

The stock rims are ET37 in the front and ET30 in the back.

What I did to fit my aftermarket rims was measure how much of the stock bolt sticks out of the stock (OEM) rims (3/4in.) and get a spacer that maintains that 3/4in. extrusion. So if your stock bolt sticks out of your new rims by 1.25 inches, then a 12mm spacer would be perfect. (Remember that an inch is 25.4mm)

In my case the stock bolt stuck out of my new rims by 1.25 inches, so I got a 10mm spacer for the front and a 12mm spacer in the back.

*** Make sure the spacers are hub centric and for Mercedes (hub bore 66.56mm). The front spacers have to have the grease cap extrusion that is hard to find for cheap. I ended up going for the H&R 10mm front spacers for like $75. Tough decision but I wanted my new rims to fit.

Front spacers example: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-h-and-r-...NHEaAu4n8P8HAQ

2004 CLK 500 with AMG Package, Not Convertible
Few questions for Michelin tires owners. I have stock size Micheling A/S3 from Costco in Mid 2014 and now have 10k miles on them.

I can see cracks on the side walls, is that normal and should be covered under warranty or no?

Thanks for the help.

working on my setup still. wanted to post my details to share.

MBZ-615-18-GMT replica wheels
18x8.5 +32 with hankook evo2 235 40 18, -0.8 degrees camber
18x9.5 +35 with conti pro contact 265 35 18, -1.8 degrees camber
clears my calipers barely
no spacers
no camber kit
h&r springs
bilstein b8 short stroke shocks
#3 rear pad

notes:
1 finger vertical gap to fender on front, no finger vertical gap in rear
front is almost perfect, possibly 245 would make it perfect?
rear is too sunken on top for me, plan to remove 0.8 degrees camber and try 275 35 18 tires.
i do want to try #4 pads also (my car came with #2 pads )
car has half tank of gas and no cargo in it at time of pictures
super small rubbing on front, forward guard (1.5" x .5" section) when you turn the wheels. can not hear rubbing.
no other contact to chassis from tires or wheels.
there is about 6mm room inside to front shock body before contact (front)
there is about 9mm room inside to rear chassis before contact (rear)

The fronts are on point but yeah the rears are still sunken in. Maybe a 10-12mm spacer to get them evened out like the fronts.

i have 5mm spacers on stand by...
also, these wheels are not the final wheels i want. just want to nail down fitment before i payout for nice wheels.

here is the order i will try:
install 275 tires, 275 35 18 rt615
alignment, rear set to 1 degree
check clearance
add spacer?
check clearance
lol... add 285 tires, remove spacer... repeat until clearance issues...

None for now
I'm currently running Michelin Pilot Super Sport 255/35/18 on my Forgestar F14 rear wheels (18x9.5 ET33). Could I go up to a 265/35/18? I'm on Eibach springs/Bilstein shocks and don't rub currently.

A 265/35 is the ideal tire for a 9.5" wide wheel in the rear for our cars. Once my 255's need replacing I'll be stepping up to sticky 265 tire myself.

clk 320
Hi guys I didnt want to start a new topic and decided to post here as its about fitment...

Will these fit on my 04 w209 clk 320?
19x8.5 front - 245/35/19 - ET38
19x9.5 rear - 275/30/19 - ET38 (possible swap to 265 instead)

Friend of friend selling and had them on a w208 clk 320 before but has sold the car...

I have stock suspension/coils and no spacers. Will I need them?

Any advice/help is greatly appreciated thank you so much!

W209 CLK
Hi all,

I currently own a 2007 CLK 320 CDI with the below setup without any issues:

F: 18x8.5 ET35 (235/40/18)
R: 18x8.5 ET35 + 12/15mm spacer (265/35/18)

I'm thinking of going with the following setup, would I have any issues or would I need larger/smaller spacers? Also, what about the tire sizes, should I go with 255 at the rear or can I put on a 265?

F: 18x8 ET32 (225/40/18)
R: 18x9 ET35 (265/35/18)

Your help would be greatly appreciated

this is just a guess, but i think you should be okay. but it may be really close to the strut body. like the inside rim lip may touch the shock body.
front:
i have about 5mm space before touching the shock. keep in mind i have bilstein short stroke and 18x8.5 +32 with hankook evo2 235 40 18, -0.8 degrees camber
if you plan on changing to clk550 or clk63 brakes, it probably won't fit... need to check spoke clearance.
rear:
i think you should be okay. but when you lower it... it will get very close to the inside body chassis part.

i personally think you should be okay with the front being 235, right now i have ET 35, but want to add a 5mm spacer or get a slightly wider tire.

are you going to keep the rear spacer on the new setup?

update on my setup:
i finally got the 275 rear tires on my setup. the fitment is getting closer! tires now have matching look, rear was stretched a bit. now they look very similar.

clears my front calipers barely
no spacers
rear camber kit only (Changed)
h&r springs
bilstein b8 short stroke shocks
#4 rear pad (changed)

notes:
good 1 finger vertical gap to fender on front, tight 1 finger finger vertical gap in rear (finally even more or less with half tank of gas and nobody i the rear seats... lol)
front is almost perfect, possibly 245 would make it perfect?
rear is too sunken on top for me, plan to remove 0.8 degrees camber and try 10mm spacers.

wow, finally got my perfect fitment settings. when i can save up, my new wheels need to have 18x8.5 +30 and 18x9.5 +25 to get the look i want. sucess! when it is sunny again, i will post a side picture. it is gloomy and will rain the next few days.

clears my calipers barely
no spacers
aftermarket rear camber arm, otherwise oem
h&r springs
bilstein b8 short stroke shocks
#4 rear pad
10mm spacer rear

here is the before and after pictures for the spacer installation. if you are going to get the exact same wheels, you need a 22mm lug bolt. i changed the rears to 33mm long lug bolt to accommodate the 10mm spacer.

2005 CLK 500
Will these wheels fit?

Hi everyone, I’m new here and I just picked up a 2005 clk500. I purchased a set of gloss black style 628 wheels for my VW CC, but never got the chance to put them on. I have done a lot of research and I’m pretty sure these won’t fit my clk due to the offset being too high, but if anyone could clarify that would be very helpful to me. Here are some specs of the wheels that I bought. Thanks for the help.
  • 18"x8" - Set of Four
  • Offset: 45mm
  • Center Bore: 66.6mm
  • Bolt Pattern: 5x112
  • Gloss Black with a Machined Face
  • TPMS Compatible
  • Center Caps Included
  • Includes Four 57.1mm Hub Centric Rings
  • Requires Ball Seat Lug Bolts
  • Weight: 25.05 lb Each

Hey I’m new here, I’m working on my car but I’ll let you know what I’ve got on it.
I’ve got some 20x10.5 with a +20 offset in the rear w/25mm H&R spacers, 19x8.5 in the fronts w/10 mm spacers to clear.
Dropped on eibach Springs,
tires are pirelli all around, 275/35/20 rear(Do plan on 305/35 since I’ve got wider fenders)and 225/35/19 in the front.
rears obviously rub that’s why I’m making new over fenders for it.
fronts sit flush with no rubbing.
will upload more pics when done.
