Now onto the spacer question when dealing with a ET35 wheels all around. I know omega and a couple other forum members usually run 10mm spacer all around but has anybody or do you think it is possible to run a 15mm spacer in the back with 10mm up front? Wouldn't it give the car a slightly more aggressive stance or would I be better sticking with the 10mm all the way around? Sorry for the Noob questions! haha

Once again thanks I appreciate all your help Omega!
Look at sweet Jones setup. I believe he has et 35 with 15 or 25mm spacers all around. And he is running 19x9.5 all around. That ma has *****!

2.http://www.oemwheelsplus.com/index.p...heels-set.html

Im personally leaning towards wheel 2 but they only come with a 45 mm offset. Is it possible to get those to fit and if so what size spacer would I have to go with to get them to sit flush with the fender?

Would I be better going with wheel option 1 just because of the offset issue?

Thanks guys!

If I was getting mandrus wheels I would go with the rotec. They are rotary forged, light and strong. Mandrus is owned by tsw.

Yea that's the ones I was looking at the rotec as far as fitment wise I wouldn't need any spacer correct ? The fitment should be fine?

No spacers necessary, get the 19x8.5 et.32 19x9.5 et.35

If you want an aggressive setup you can go with et.25 all around but you might rub in the front.

Other set up you can go with is et.32 front and et.25 rear, you might have a slight rub in the rear on dips.

I got H&R springs to lower it, just waiting on shocks and struts but I have a question. How does lowering effect the auto leveling headlights? Will I have to get them recalibrated?

Little fitment help and opinions...

Wondering whether these two wheel options will fit. Love the look of the 19's but I've been down this road before and the 19's were just to much of a compromise on the ride. The 18's I like...just not sure they are the type of wheel that should go on the CLK500. Even though I swore I wouldn't do it...probably going with H & R lowering springs...what is wrong with me?

Does anyone know of another maker that comes close to this design in an 18"?
http://www.powerwheelspro.com/shop/p...roducts_id=714

On these 18"s, if my understanding is correct, I would go with ET 35 front and 28 Rear ( original oem offset 37 and 30). Tires 235/40-18 and 255/35-18. That would put the wheel 10.7 mm closer to inner wheel well and push the outer rim 14.7mm out. And overall diameter would be within 1/2".

http://www.powerwheelspro.com/shop/p...pmsh82v72ut9d0

Thanks guys.
I've got some CF stuff in the garage but not 100% sure I'm going that route. I've got the front lip, deck spoiler and rear diffuser.

Will these Mandrus Rotec work well for a 2005 CLK500 conv without spacers? the offset is ET32 in front and ET40 in the back. it seems like others are going with ET32/35. Concerned about clearing calibers etc and looks. Currently have 17' AMG and standard suspension. Thinking about lowering a bit for looks as well at some point

CLK 500 cabriolet
New to the board. I just crossed over from bimmer fest as I parted with my 5 series.

I love the A209 500. I've been looking for tips on how to make the suspension a bit stiffer and more responsive. Anyways I'm off to a good start, Vertini Fair Lady 19" rims, drilled & slotted rotors, clear corners, HID head/fog lights, LED interior lights & aluminum pedals.

Nice. Could you add a pic where it is a little easier to see the stance?

New wheels for 04 CLK500

Hi guys!
After driving for years, I finally decided to change my OEM wheels, but I'm confused about the offsets for the new wheels. The new wheels are AMG reps, 18" 8", 35 mm, and 18" 9" 35mm for the rear. Would these fit with 225/35/18 and 255/40/18 tires?

You will have NO issues with that set up.

You should go 225 40 18 upfront and 255 (40 or 35) in the rear

2004 CLK 55 AMG
Hello all, new forum member. Bought my 04 CLK55 AMG last september with 60000 miles on it. Previous owner upgraded wheels to (what i can tell from the discount tire invoice)

Mandrus Manheim (older version with no lip) 18x8.5/9.5 both ET30 with 225/40 and 255/35

i'm in need of new rears. the rears have 15k on them and are shot.

after reading this thread i'm down to two options:

1) stay with 18s and get the wheels refinished as they need a little bit of work, and just get two rear tires now, or do the full 19" upgrade

the 18" option is safe because i know the wheels fit and how they look, however i'd like to eventually go 235/40 and 265/35 on 18's. will this be a problem with my ET30?

2) if i go 19" (8.5/9.5) i think i want to end up with ET25 one way or another. i've seen that ET25 is flush, however one post said ET30 was flush in the front and ET25 was flush in the rear... which is it?

my only issue going +2 (to 19") is i went +2 on my old integra (15 to 17) and it was so rough. i'm in arizona so we have good roads, was in michigan before...

and just want to verify if i go 19" i need minimum ET32 front (amg calipers) and ET35 rear?

i will eventually get the H&R lowering springs and camber adjustment

thanks

04 Clk55 is what I had.
I ran 19 x8.5 and 9.5
25 Et all around.
I ran 225 35 19 upfront and 265 30 19 in the rears.

25 Et for the front is perfect.
25 Et for the rear had some room. If your willing to do some light fender work, 20Et in the rear would be perfect.

I would stay with 18s and run 235 40 18 and 275 35 18. This is what I have with my current set up. You can see some pics of how they look in my recent threads. Current offset is 25 ETupfront and 28 in the rear. Rear needs to be pushed out a tad hence why 20 Et would be perfect IMO.

looking at the new mandrus mannheim (with the mirror lip) in staggered 18s or 19s

i can get them in ET25/35/43

should i do 43 upfront with a 15mm spacer (=28) and then 25 in rear? or just do 25/25?

i have 30/30 now and i think ideally i run 30/25 or something

as for your rear tire size you recommended... wont 275 rub? i read some posts saying it will but i guess you know best

thanks

I went with et26/235 front and et28/265 rear on the 18" Forgestars I have one now. No problems, pics are on the first page of this thread. I will be switching to 275 in the rear soon.

If youre not lowered 25 front and back shouldnt be an issue.

Im lowered right now and ET 25 upfront with 235 40 18.. No issues
Rears ET 28 275 35 18 Has room for a spacer.

Rears To be safe just go 265 35 18
0r 265 30 19
