I don't want to go with 19s, they're too big. I just did some research and found that those tires would be fine with almost any setup. But the wheels and offsets are right, correct?

Sorry I meant to say 18x10. Offset is fine. You can even go more aggressive with the offset if you want.

What would be a more aggressive offset?

Can I fit 255/35ZR18/RF 94Y on a Wheel Size Range of 9x18 (Rear) and
225/40ZR18/RF 92Y on a Wheel Size Range of 8.5x18 (Front). These use to be on a CL500.

I want to make sure the ride will be smooth and no vibration is caused by these wheels.

Thanks!

To reply to your question from another post; 44 would have your wheel set more inward than an offset of 32. I think you may require spacers to push them outward if you go with the offset of 44.

Scroll through this thread and you should find cases where others have traveled this path regarding larger offsets.

You can get perhaps a better understanding of "offset" from the tire rack website. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...sp?techid=101&

The only difference i feel in the ride quality is that it's much smoother now. I feel like the car is hovering over the street. But maybe thats just cuz of the new tires. Not sure.

Hi guys. Do u know if i can run 225/50/16 tires on the rear and 205/55/16 on front ? Thats what it says in the placard on the door but im not sure if my rims are wide enough for wider tires. Right now im running 205/55/16 all around

Nice...did you paint your rims, a second set, or is the photo just desaturated?

Pic looks desaturated.

Not really keen on those wheels especially the gold. Maybe keep the chrome lips and go with a darker color on the inside? Just an idea.

so the outcome of rim specs is that someone willing to go 19" should go 8,5-9,5 et 35mm (all round 35mm)
with 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 or 275/30/19 depending on tire correct?

this applies both for lowered and stock height

Depending on thw stanceyou are looking for you could go to an even lower offset.

If you want to play it safe i would do et.35 rear and et.32 front. Et.35 front might rub given the wheel.

You should be good. Those offsets would work out well and so would the tires. Are you lowered?

Yes the pics are just edited. Wheels are OE Volk noble gold which is gorgeous in person, especially at night it looks metallic/iridescent almost. I'll have to see if I can capture it sometime.

Carlsson RS 1/14 Wheels for my 2004 CLK320

Hi guys,
I recently scored on some beautiful Carlsson RS 1/14 rims. I've scrubbed this amazing forum and there's TONS of information which is becoming a bit overwhelming. Any advise you can give will be very much appreciated!

Can you please tell me if I will need spacers? If so, how many MM's front/back/etc...

Here are the specs:

Wheels: Carlsson 1/14 RS 19" (pic attached)
8.5 x 19 in the front
9.5 x 19 in the rear
45 offset in the front
50 offset in the rear
Tires: 19" Ultrac Sessanta Performance
Spacers: ???
Suspension: Stock

I found these spacers on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-CARLSSON-Adapter-Spacer-install-Kit-16mm-/291340370475?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item43d53d422b) but not sure if they'll work with my configuration.j

I am also planning on deploying one of two suspension kits for the car. I'm torn between Bilstein's B16 PSS9 or KW's Suspension V1 Coilover kit. Has anybody has any experience on either kit?

Help!

You would need at least a 10 mm spacer in the front and at least a 15 mm spacer in the rear (H&R spacers are the best). For coilovers you would need a very low offset I think in like the high 20s or something like that. I would recommend the PSS9 over the KW V1. If you just want for the looks you could just lower it with H&R springs and Bilstein or Koni shocks or Eibach springs and Bilstein or Koni shocks.
