Billet Hub Centric 10mm Wheel Spacers on 2004 CLK55 AMG W209
Need Help!!!
Hello everyone,
I have purchased a pair of rims last year for my 2004 CLK55 and added Billet Hub Centric Wheel Spacers Mercedes 10mm all around. I noticed that when I am driving between 60 MPH and 75 MPH that my steering wheel shakes and the gas peddle vibrates a little. Is that normal when you have spacers? I am starting to think that I might need to find rims that are a perfect fit for my car without any spacers to get rid of the shaking.
Any help would be amazing on what I should do. These are the spacers that I got for my car.

Has it been vibrating since you first got them or did it randomly start? My hub centric spacers never cause vibrations, maybe a bent rim?

When I first got the rims I had a universal 5mm spacer in front and no spacer in the back. and it was perfect, but my bold use to keep on snapping because in the rear the bolt where too long and kept on hitting the inside of the hub which where heating them up causing them to shear off. I tried getting shorter bolts but for some reason I couldn't find anything shorter than m12X1.4 which I was told was the shortest you can get for after market rims. This is why I was forced to put universal 5mm spacer in the back. This caused the steering wheel to vibrate so then I was told that I needed to get spacer that are custom designed for my car. So I went with the 10mm spacers that they made for my car but still Im getting vibration. This has been a night mare since the get go.

When you added the 10mm spacers up front, did you remove the OEM grease cap? If not, the face of the spacer will not sit flush against the face of the brake rotor, hence the wheel will not either. We're talking minuscule spacing here but it will cause the vibrations.
Seen it several times.

It just prys off, you dont need to replace it with anything because the spacer itself is sealed. Keep it in the trunk with the spare though because you'll need to put it back on if you use the space saver (never use spacers with steels wheels). Good luck.

Hello
So I finally had a chance to remove the grease caps and still no difference. I think my best be is to just sell these after market rims and buy some AMG rims or rims that fit my car without spacers.

Sorry to hear that man, the H&R 10mm spacers never gave me any issues.

I am running 12mm H&R front and 15mm H&R rear with no problems for a while now. Are you sure your wheels hub size and everything is all good?
