MY2008's are not affected (and thus no W204 would be affected). You have M272 engine #883849.

That's a CLK320 with an M112 engine - no balance shaft worries there. It's the "350" and "550" engines that are the issue.

Thanks!!

The CLK55 has an M113 engine - no balance shaft worries on that. And you have the AMG-modified 722.6 transmission - no particular issues with it, either.

It's a MY2006 - it's in the range for potential balance shaft failure. All M272 and M273 engines through mid-production of MY2007 will be. Yours is M272 #170024.

Hi Rudeney,
Could you please check vin # WDBUF56X77B039621 if this is within range? Couple of months back I had CEL and the code was 0276. Dealer said continuous adjustment of left intake camshaft stored - recommend replacing cam magnet. He said he cleared the error (no light) during 60k service (not fixed, just cleared). The light came back yesterday. I don't know if it is same issue.
Any help on how to proceed is appreciated.
Thank you for your help.

You have M272 engine #459753, which is in the range for both Scenario 1 (balance shaft failure) and Scenario 2 (camshaft sensor magnet failure). Check the codes - P0016/P0017 (DTCs 1208/1200) are balance shaft failure. 0276 is cam magnet failure, which is an easy and inexpensive (even DIY) repair.
