Car won't start?! HELP?
Haven't been able to find anything on this matter...
First this dumb 2004 CLK 500 (VIN: WDBTJ75JX4F067372) had transmission problems. It would hit 4th gear, then slip into neutral (im assuming, RPMs would go up and the car wouldn't be in drive anymore) then would try to shift back into 4th (im assuming) and would grind and the wheels would lock up... almost if I were slamming on the brakes.
I could drive the car up to 50 MPH, up to 3rd gear in manual and up to 3,000 RPM because I didn't want to go any higher...
I took the car to a local MB Only tech shop and they reset the code and it fixed the problem, and the Check Engine light went away... then I asked them to do a tranny service and the car was great... for 4,000 or so miles, then it did it again...
I drove in manual from then on after it started acting up again for about 2 weeks. Everything was as fine as it could be, then when I drove to work to pickup my laptop, I pulled up... turned off the car... grabbed my laptop... and tried to start the car 5 minutes later and it wouldn't turn over...
Had to get it towed home and it has just been sitting here... HELP?

When you say "wouldn't turn over", what do you mean? To me it means the engine does not even turn over - like a dead battery, but I've discovered that to some people it means it turns over fine, it just won't actually start.

Well the battery is just fine, it's only 9 months old... and the tow truck driver said it was fine... everything lights up too... I don't know the exact terminology but the engine cranks like it wan's to start up... but when it comes time for the engine to actually turn on/ignite... it doesn't. It just goes back into "key position 2" mode.

If the MIL is not illuminated, you may have a bad CPS (they tend to fail due to heat). One thing that might get you going is to pour cold water on it - it's located on the back left side of the engine, on the bell housing, just behind the left head.

MIL?
Also I poured water on it the day it happened... nothing, also disconnected the Mass airflow sensor and reconnected it too, nothing... it's been like this for 3 weeks now. I don't think heat is causing it... I also disconnected the battery completely for like 4 days and still same symptoms...

MIL = malfunction indicator light, a.k.a check engine light. It is most likely the CPS, there are some other possibilities as MB TECHMAN pointed out, like a bad fuel pump. You can check to see if there is any pressure at the Schrader valve on the front left (USA passenger's) side of the fuel rail. Be careful, use a rag to catch any fuel spray, and do this outside, no smoking, no flames, etc. If you get nothing there, then I'd look at the fuel pump. One more symptom to check for - does the engine cooling or "suction" fan run at high speed with the key in position 2? If so, this can be a bad ECU. I generally suggest doing proper diagnosis and not "throwing parts' at a problem, but if you want to take a gamble, go for the CPS - they commonly fail and the #1 symptom is cranking/no fire, and no MIL.

Possible solution
Try turning the key to the furthest position before the actual crank and then put the gearshift into neutral. It should then start- sounds like a tranny problem where the spring mechanism is starting to fail on occasion.... I am going thru this right now with my '05 clk500
