Is there a DIY to remove the rear panel to access the window regulation?
I assume the rear seat has to come out first.

And yes, you have to remove the back seat.

Same situation, no better no worse.

I did notice today that when I pressed the Activated Charcoal Filter on the climate control, all the windows and sunroof would close but not this rear window. Same behavior when I did the reverse.

This is kinda of strange since this rear window can be operated by the door switch with no issue.

Rudeney, Glyn: Does this new sympton still show failure in the regulator?

It's hard to say. It could be that it is a bad regulator and it's binding. By pulling on the switch and holding it until it closes is able to overcome that binding, but the automatic function with opening the door or using the "tunnel" mode of the ACC doesn't energize the circuit long enough to do that.

Thanks, Rudeney.

Using the door switch to operate the rest window, I do not see any delay in opening or closing the window. I am changing my brake fluid soon, I will ask the indie to take a look. I will show the PDFs to him so he knows where are the clips. W209 is not a common car.

BTW. The seat belt (same driver side) is not retracting too well. Since I have to pull the side panel, maybe I should also check know the seat belt mechanism inside. What is the parts called? Any part number so I can check the price?

You may be able to get some better retraction of the seat belt by cleaning it, but otherwise, you have to replace the entire mechanism - pretensioner and all. It's quite expensive.

Do you mean cleaning the seat belt or what inside the side panel? The seat belt, at least the part behind the presenter to the clip looks green to me.

The seat belt itself. It gets build up of oil on it from your hands.

Ok I will pull the seat belt out as much and I can. Then clean it with dish soap and warm water solution.

Rudeney: I would think that the retraction is a non-motorized spring mechanism. How much is it? Do you have the part number so I can see the diagram in parts.com.

Here you go:

http://www.parts.com/parts/index.cfm...earch&siteid=2

You need the color code (this one is black).

Thanks, Rudeney. I would not guess it's under Electrical.
I will clean the seat belts this weekend; a microfibre dips into dish soap and water solution.

Rudeney:. Do you happen to know the part number of the side panel (where fuse #32 and #33)? Thanks.

Fuses 32 and 33 are on the cabin panel - open the driver's door and remove the plastic panelling there on the end of the dash.

So you want the part number for the entire rear seat side panel? I'll need your VIN to get the proper number and colors code.
