Good read.... thanks to your sleepless night..
I've looked at trading my 550 several times; I've come to the conclusion that she is now "in my blood". She is such a charming, beautiful, and beastly vixen......

Do not underestimate the power of the CLK550! I was on a 6-lane highway the other day when a guy in a VW GTI was playing around. We stopped at a light, me in the left lane, he was next to me in the center lane. We took off and I obviously blew him away, then back off (after all, I was up to 60mph pretty quick in a 45mph zone). But then I hear some "rumbling" and I see there was a Dodge Charger R/T in the right lane trying to get some action. I had already backed off, and even tough I floored it, but he beat me to the next light. He gave me a friendly "I beat you, but I respect you" wave, which loos an awful lot like the beauty pageant wave. When the light turned green, I left his butt in the dust.
At the next intersection, I turned off into the parking lot of the grocery store. He followed me and parked. We chatted a bit and he asked if I was customized. I assured him I was stock (as was his Charger). I think the only thing he has on me was better exhaust sound.

LOL! I keep thinking that I need to work on that, but every time I start pricing parts, I keep thinking "why bother" because I plan to sell the CLK and get an SL. But then another few months go by, and I still have the CLK....

Too bad for me also that the new S coupe is so large. Dang! that's a beautiful car.

Yeah, I prefer a smaller car. My wife had foot surgery three weeks ago, so I've been driving her to work in her Jeep GC (she says the CLK is too low to get in and out of easily). The GC is a great car, but it's no CLK. And it reminds me why I hate driving a big SUV.

That's cool... In a few more weeks i can drop the k&n filters in and head for the rolling hills. I wish I had a few friends who were "irresponsible" enough to take their cars along.

When my car is really dirty...i take a wet finger and write in the dirt on the trunk lid:
"I SMOK M3's"
I know, I know...serious troll behavior...but it has reeled a couple in.
Much like Rud, I drift into the C63 ads on Autotrader, but never pull the trigger.
