CLK 55 wont unlock
I have a 2003 CLK 55 AMG, everything was working fine until I parked it up for 2 weeks, now it won't unlock with the remote (or the spare remote) The manual key will not unlock the doors either, I can get into the boot and I have checked all the fuses in there that I can find and they seem OK.
I guess it could be that the battery has gone flat even though I had a new one a few months ago. The battery is under the bonnet, so I can't get to that as I cant get into the car !!
Can I open the bonnet manually at all so I can get to the battery?
Any other ideas as to what might be wrong?
Many thanks

The key will turn in the door lock about 1/4 turn anti clockwise, and about 1/8th turn clockwise, but does not operate the door lock ?!?
The same key will operate the boot lock manually ?!?
I have been away (with a different car) hense the delay in replying, any help would be much appreciated as currently I have a purely decorative CLK !!
Many thanks

It sounds like you have a mechanical problem in the door that is not allowing the lock to actuate. You may just have to have it towed to a shop so that they can open the hood and charge/replace the battery. The other alternative is to break a glass to get in. If so, I'd break the passenger door glass. The glass in the doors is easier to replace than the rear side windows.
