Fuel Line
I went to my indie to replace the rear shocks and the fuel filter earlier today.
I left in a hurry and I just read a note in my invoice "Fuel lines starting to wear. No leaks at this time.".
I have never owned a car for this long (10 years) so I have no idea what is involved in replacing the fuel line(s).

Fuel line is just a special pressure rubber hose going to the fuel filter. In this case it will be more than one size .IF you are handy you can do it your self or leave it to the indie.Plastic and rubber age and this is preventive maintenance. The worse it can start to perish with age and start to leak when you dont suspect it.

Some part of the fuel line is plastic and the rest flexi part rubber .Mercedes benz do use diffrent size hose witch is available at any spare part store. If you got no leak i will not change it now.The indies always try and boost more work = more pay.You should ask him which lines he is talking about.
There is a line from the tank to the fuel filter and a return line back ,the other one go to the engine bay.I suspect he is talking about the small pieces of hoses around the fuel filter. It would be good if they had took some photos? The fuel hoses and clamps is cheap a few dollars at most it is the labor which is the problem.

So, there are 3 hoses, 2 connected to the fuel tank and 1 connected to the engine.
I did find a fuel hose in Autohausaz, probably the one to the engine:

The fuel system is under pressure and i will not recommend that you work on it if you haven,t done it before. The pressure need to be removed before you can safely work on it. Fuel can splash in to you eyes .Eye protection needed.
The MB hoses is been crimp on witch need to be cut and re crimp or fitted with a hose clamp.A mechanic will be able to cut and fit it in no time ( under the vehicle )I suspect it is the hoses around the filter .There are 4 on the filter but no 4 is a air vacuum hose .These hoses are all short +- 4 inch (100mm) long and varies in diameter . Sorry i couldn,t open the link you got on the net. I am base in Australia .Good luck
