7G tronic question

ok, so i have serviced my car regularly sincei bought it back almost 10 years ago. never did the dealer do a transmission fluid change. I brought it in for service today and asked that the transmission be serviced. the car has 148k miles on it. I was told to leave the car as is and not service it due to the high mileage, may do more harm than good. Opinions?

2004 CLK320
I did my first transmission service when my car (2004 CLK320) reached 100K miles. I then do this every 40K miles.

My service advisor of MB also asked me not to change the ATF. Please refer to my thread titled "722.6 ATF" here in this forum. A lot of information there you should know about your transmission. Although you have a newer transmission than me, the same arguments apply for The fluid change.

I would do a full flush. At the very least you could do a fluid change- ie just drop the pan and refill. I did a pan drop and fluid change only on my 5G and it made a very noticeable difference. I will do it again in 15-20,000km.
