Engine Oil Leak

Today while changing oil I noticed a small oil leak/seepage on the left rear of the engine block from a switch/sensor. It occasionally will collect enough on the switch/sensor to drip on the cat conv. and cause an oil smell. Can anyone help indentify this switch/sensor and hopefully can its seal be replaced while the engine is in the car.
