Exclamation 2004 CLK 320 hesitates on acceleration with slow response on taking off

So i got my 2004 clk 320 with a very low mileage but i noticed that the car is almost with no power on taking off from standing position and it has a slow response to throttle, took it for service changed spark plugs, air filter and fuel filters but unfortunately it still the same no power on taking off from traffic light for example. but during driving on the road it response well but not really as it should be compared to its engine size.

please guys if any one had the same late response on throttle advice for solution.

First step is to check codes. Even if the MIL is not illuminated, you can have some stored errors that might help diagnose the problem.

Johny, i took the car today to the work shop they connected it to the computer and reset all the faults, but still no enough energy while driving, so i still have my previous E320 1999 which is very powerful compared to this new clk320; i will take off the MAF from the E and apply it on the CLK and see if it will get back to life and show some muscles as i checked online and its the same model...

Your car needs a thourough inspection through STAR, clearing codes wont fix anything. Take it to an experianced shop who has star and they should be able to pinpoint the problem. Various tests cam be performed through it.

You said your shop reset the codes, but what were they? Also, how many miles on the odometer? The catalytic converters can begin to fail around the 100K mark. As they deteriorate, they spew molten metal down the exhaust pipe which can lodge in the resonators and muffler and cause back pressure, which will really rob performance, often without any other symptoms.
