hey just went from an 02 clk55 to 05 clk500 and idk whats the problem but the radio sucks haven't had this problem before every station is having BAD static and im not even talking about AM in my older clk never had this issue..


what can be my problem?


I did some research can it be my antenna filter amplifier part number 2038200189?? any help is appreciated I don't have an aux connection so radio is my main thing in the morning.

It's a defective head unit.

What do u mean head u it? Like the radio it self?? The cd work fine its just radio like 2 channels are listenable and it still has static.

So it's just the over-the-air radio? In that case, it may be an antenna issue. I though you meant everything had static.

Hmm, maybe the antenna connection is loose? Another thought - do you have nay aftermarket electrical accessories on the car? Radar detector? Phone charger? If so, try disconnecting them. We once had a car with a radio that get really bad when my cell phone charger was plugged in. It ended up being a defective cord causing electrical interference.

Nothing aftermarket no accessories weird gonna take it to my MB guy let him check it out

the 05s still had the antenna on the rear windshield so maybe damage to the antenna wiring?
