head rest losing weird sounds
hello all, i'm having the 04 clk320
recently I found out my passenger side head rest having weird sounds while i open my windows and during my car is running. The sounds was from the plastic board behind the head rest which holding the two support from the seat.
I can see it's kind of losing of that plastic panel but I can't tight it because I can't find any screws show up for me to do so.
Does anyone having similar problems pls share how to fix it because these flipping wired sounds is so annoying and my gf is keep complaining lol
thanks in advance!

Are you talking about the panel on the back of the seat that has the map pocket in it? If that's it, then there are two bolts at the bottom of it holding it in place. Sometime a back seat passenger might kick it getting in and out and pull the panel off the bolts. In that case, you can add a washer to help hold it in place.

Oh, I understand now. The headrest is one part, so that plastic covering is not meant to be removed and replaced. However, a similar thing happens on one of the rear headrests in our C240. It has plastic tabs that clip it in place that had broken off. i was able to glue it back in place with some silicon adhesive.

my car makes that sound also. actually I've taken apart the drivers headrest. but it was broken. there's a nut inside that holds the leather front to the back of the headrest and they clamp down with that same nut on the metal bars that go down into the seat. I was able to take apart the drivers side because it was broken. my passenger side is making weird noises as if its loose a bit. 90% its just the nut on the inside that needs tightening. but how do we take apart the headrest..
