Clear Smoked Tail Lights

As much as I looked, I couldn't find examples of the DEPO lights mounted on the car. EBAY sellers didn't have any and I couldn't find any searching google images and this forum. Sorry if I missed it here. Either way - here is what it looks like matched with Diamond Silver paint. Also I couldn't find a matching 3rd brake light so I had to use niteshade spray and simply smoked it myself. I am happy with the look and surprised that after 3 coats of nightshade, the 3rd brake light puts out plenty of light.

Wow! That looks much different (better) than I envisioned when I was considering the change. I assume everything is functionally the same. May now reconsider.

Nice!

Thanks. Yep - No errors. I took my time and was done with all 3 lights in 1 hour - not counting paint/drying time for the 3rd brake light. As a precaution I wrapped the transistor box "thingies" that come with the DEPO units in small rags to keep them from rattling before tucking them into the cavity just to the sides.

I see the DEPO tails on EBAY. Which third LED brake light did you use, and did you use VHT nightshades tint?

The DEPO lights come smoked and I personally wouldn't add more smoke to them. I used my own 3rd brake light as I could not find a clear smoked unit like the DEPO. Yes on VHT nightshades tint spray.

Thanks. I plan to swap the 3rd brake light with an led version. I'll need to tint it.

that's a nice level of tint. I bought a set of tails from a forum member and they were nearly black. when someone mistook my black CLK550 for an Acura I took them off!

Eddie - I very much dig the color of your seats. What is the color and did they come factory this way? Are the mats the same color?

Can I ask you where did you buy this clear tail light?
