2003 CLK500 radio install questions

I currently have a 2003 CLK500 that has the Bose fiber optic system. I looked around and since the PAC OEM-2 isn't made anymore what are the chances of retaining the factory amp and wiring when putting in an aftermarket radio? Would a complete rewiring of the speakers be necessary, along with a new amp? I've just gotten mixed answers that the new radio can be installed with the correct adapters and that the radio can not be installed with the fiber optic system.

The answer is do a search and you'll find it was all discussed multiple times in great detail.

The answer is: The fiber optics go from the amp to the head unit, not the speakers. So, you need to replace the amp, tap speaker wires at the old amp harness, run cables to the head unit from the new amp/s. Done.
