Auto Window not closing last bit

Hey All!

Hope things are going well for everyone.

Have an issue with the CLK500 in the family. When you open and close the doors the windows go down that 1cm or so, and when you close them they seal back up. The problem is that the second part isn't happening. They automatically go down that 1cm or so, then when they were supposed to go up its just not happening.

The mechanics of the windows work, when inside you can put them fully up and down.

Is this just a fuse thing perhaps? I've done some research and it seems fuse 21 and 32 control the window automatics? Anyone pulled these fuses before, or any other comments on the issue? The battery wires needed servicing so this happened after picking it up from the shop.

Thanks!

I'm 95% sure your windows just need to normalize. try holding the window switch down until they open and keep pushing the button down for 4 seconds then close the windows up all the way and hold for another 4 seconds. Its very important the front doors are closed tight and the FRONT windows are closed too before you start!

NO LONGER ACTIVE
You may need to "erase" the normalization. To do that, pull the fuse for the door controller for a few minutes. Fuse 21 for the left door, 22 for the right door (on the cabin fuse panel - driver's side of the dash).

Got it done without pulling the fuse, just doing the reset trick. Actually had to do it for the back and the front separate.

Thank you very much, my brother is quite appreciative

No problem! Usually eveytime the battery is disconected you'll need to normlaize all the windows especially the ones that close automatically with one push/pull. Also the sunroof will need to be normalized if its not it will take quite a few pushs and pulls on the button to get it open and close
