I was changing my plates! I had to pull the deck lid cover (liner) to get to the plate nut which was spinning! I pulled out the plunger switch and push pins. long story short! I closed the lid without putting the plunger switch in! Now the inside switch, keyfab, and push lock on the lid doesn't work eather. How do i get the trunk open? also the key from the fab doesn't go all the way in!!

Can you open the soft top? If so, then you might try opening it enough so that the glass and cover are up and access the trunk through there. You'd need to remove the partition cover and make sure the glass part of the soft top is secure so it does not drop down on you. If you can't do that, and the hard key is definitely not working, then you may need to take it to the dealer - they have some special tools they can use to disconnect the latch with the lid closed.

I have a convert! To make a long story short! There's a green button in the truck area! You pulled the wire off it when you took the cover off to change your plate! It happened to me! I have a convert so getting into the trunk was a snap! Also The trunk lock may be frozen,
