W209 CLK 500 chrome strip on door molding came off
Hi all,
I was wondering if you guys know what clips should I buy to attach the chrome strip back on the door. The molding itself is still on the door - it's just the chrome part that came off. I see 8-10 holes for clips - but can't figure out which I should use. I found this diagram on parts.com but they look a little different (I have one clip left in the door, but the clip is partially broken, maybe that's why it looks different on the diagram).

If it's not possible to attach the strip back, I'll buy the whole molding. Just want to know what can be done.

The chrome strip is part of the body-colored molding. It has no clips - it is factory installed to the molding with single-use tabs that permanently attach it. The clips you see in that parts diagram are the ones that hold the molding to the door. I'd just use a suitable adhesive and reattach the chrome strip to the molding. Maybe contact cement.
