W209 Audio 20 - Motor not fully shutting down?
I have a 2005 CLK with audio 20 and cd changer. I have just started to notice that when I power off car, there seems to be a slight hum coming for the single cd deck on the console almost as if it is still whirring. Is there anything I can check or do to fix this?

I believe there is a small fan on the back of the unit. It will run when if the unit is hot. Also, it may kick on when you open the door. The radio is always powered, but uses CAN bus signals to wake up when the ignition is switched on. Some other things can make it partially wake-up, like opening a door.

^^ This! My Comand 2.0 has that loud fan. a bit annoying if its silent in an underground parking with the car off, but i never realize its there during driving or if the car is stopped with the car on.
