CLK350 2006 Possible Balance Shaft replacement again
The car recently shutdown on me. The card shacked & shifted funny prior to shutdown. It would not restart. The odb codes read p0016-p0019. The previous owner fixed the balance shaft issue in 2009 at 44K,currently at 121K but could I still be covered under the suit once its officially approved.

You're still covered, but just barely. I received the lawsuit announcement in the mail Friday and since I don't have it with me right now, will do the best I can at remembering the terms of the coverage.
For cars with the covered engines, the repair assistance is 37% of the total repair for mileage around 120,000, or where you're at. The suit ceases to provide any remedy at all if the car is 10 years old, or it has 125,000 miles on it…whichever comes first.
So, you need to get it fixed quick if you want to get roughly 1/3 of the bill taken care of by Mercedes.
What is really frustrating is that Mercedes knew about the problem in 2007 and was able to delay any responsibily until now. With the 10 year mark coming up in just a couple months for the 2006 M272 engines, they're getting off really easy on this one.
