Hey new to the forum but I have a question: I just got the alert/warning that reads: "Engine Fan" on my dash alerts. It has not overheated...yet. But what is this and is it ok to still drive my vehicle?

MY1999 is a W208 - you should check that forum. But since this is a common engine with the W209, I can tell you that it probably is an issue with the engine suction fan controller. Definitely watch the engine temp - anything - even 1 degree - over 100C and you better shut it down!
